Hello,
I need to setup a regisitry key that points to a file in a dynamic path
(path choosen by customer). Is this possible with ISX?
Example: \SOFTWARE\myprog\<INSTALLDIR>\logfile.txt.

No problem. You can use directory specifiers in your key names and values.
The same applies
to writing to INI files.

There's is almost no problem...
I put the <DATABASEDIR> to be recorded in a registry key, and I got a
warning when I bilt the disk image, that told me that it was an invalid
specifier.
But when I ran the installation it worked. The correct path was recorded.
There's something wrong with that warning...

I'm using the <INSTALLDIR> in the registry's RunOnce key to pass the install
path to a program I'm including with my installation. The problem is that
<INSTALLDIR> seems to be returning a 16 bit file name instead of the 32 bit
long file name. Is there a way to get it to return the full long filename?

I notice the same 32 to16 bit file shortening as well. It doesn't appear to
stop the keys values functioning.

Unfortunatly, I have the same problem. It seems that installdir contains a
shortfilename description of the path.

If somebody find an answer to this problem please notify me.
