WebService detection

Hi.

I am using installshield 12. And i have requirement that i need to
check connectivity with the webservice which is hosted on any server.
For that, i have Server name and the Webservice portno with me. The
setup should continue only if the connection with the webservice
returns true.
I am completelt new to Installshield So Please tell me, Is there any
predefined method for checking such kind of connectivity. Or is there
any other way to achieve this...

Any king of suggestions/ Help will be highly appreciated.
