10.6 with iLife 11 and updates

Hello everyone!

is there a catalog for creating a 10.6 image with iLife 11 fully updated?

I have used magerValps instructions and I have a pkg of iLife installer.

In the most recent SVN there's a link to an example in the iLife11_10.7updates catalog, but that suite is no longer being patched for 10.6...

This installed ilife for me but I wanted to get updates covered in there as well. I tried with the above script and it didnt work so I tried to package my main ilife install together using.

My main file looked like

Installer Disc Builds: 10D575, 10A432, 10B504, 10C540, 10D573, 10F569

Output Volume Name: Macintosh HD

Output File Name: 10.6_vanilla_life

include-file: 10.6_vanilla.catalog

include-file: iLife11_10.6_Updates.catalog

My ilife_flag looked like.

Had the same issue I did as when using Allisters script, it appears the install of ilife happens after the updates even though the order is not that way in the main file. Ideas?

This has to do with the way InstaDMG handles the different sections in the catalog files. In this case, the "iLife11_10.6_Updates.catalog" catalog uses the section "Apple Updates" and your "ilife_flag.catalog" uses the section "Third Party Software." The way that InstaDMG is currently coded is that it will do any and all "Apple Updates" sections in the catalog files BEFORE doing any of the "Third Party Software" sections. For now, the easiest way to  make this work the way you want to is to change your "ilife_flag.catalog" to use the section "Apple Updates" instead of "Third Party Software."

Andrew, if it works, can you share please? Right now I use DS to install Snow and iLife is installed as post install package (Magervalp's instructions). It takes some time, but it works eventually. Having an InstaDMG full dmg would be great.
