I saw a recent change to InstaDMG was made:

Recovery partition creation can now be manually altered in instadmg.bash, still
working on proper parameter passing in python(say that three times fast.) Bumped
build numbers, java and iTunes versions. Happy Holidays!

How does one manually alter the Recovery Partition creation in instadmg.bash? I’m assuming one has to change the variable $DMG_FS but I’m just not sure to what…
And does this affect InstaUp2Date in any way?

So this was awkwardly put in the commit message, let me clarify:
If the sparseimage format is journaled HFS+ at time of initial cache generation, you get a recovery partition. All I did was put a hard-coded variable into instaDMG.bash to allow modifying the format. Recovery partitions start life in the Base OS cache. This cache is used every time an image is built, instaUp2Date or otherwise. The python options are ungainly to interact with at this point, but I'm looking in to adding access to that flag and others as time goes on.
