Inspired Alive! for Women: Transforming Shame
Sunday, June 19 - 9:45 am - 6 pm
Do you embrace your vulnerabilities and imperfections? Do you
engage in life from a place of authenticity and worthiness? Are you willing to
let go of who you think you should be in order to be who you are? What would
happen if every morning you woke up with one intention and one intention
only... to speak from your heart? In this workshop you will learn how to
cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection that you deserve and to
recognize that you are worthy of love, belonging... and joy!
Shame (unworthiness, feeling not good enough, who do you think
you are) is a universal experience and impacts many areas of our lives. When
Dr. Brené Brown asked women to define shame, she heard answers such as:
• When people can see you failing.
• When your mask is pulled off and you are exposed – you’re
caught.
• Feeling like an outsider – not belonging.
• When your flaws are revealed.
In this experiential one-day workshop, we will explore the
effects of shame on your life by delving deeply into Dr. Brown’s profound and
transformative work. Learn how to become shame resilient. Recognize and
transform feelings of unworthiness. Engender deeper authenticity and
connection, and take home practical skills you can use in any area of your life
to live, as Dr. Brown says, "WholeHeartedly!"

What
women are saying about the workshop...
“This has been a heart-opening and invaluable workshop. My soul
feels more open and alive than ever before. Every human being would benefit
enormously from this experience.”
Deborah Burnett, Nelson, BC, Canada
“Even after spending 3.5 years in grad school studying clinical
psychology, MANY workshops, three excellent therapists, I had a lot to learn
and take in at this workshop. Most importantly, I realized that I don’t have to
be perfect to offer my gifts to the world and I don’t have to stay in a state of
feeling shame for being an imperfect human being. The tools I learned started
changing my relationship to myself after the first day. I will now move forward
with lightning speed and share this knowledge with whoever wants to be
emotionally empowered and free!”
Banu Sekendur, Seattle, WA
“I came to the workshop not knowing much about Brené Brown and
her work. I immediately recognized my need for the material. I learned so much
that will be really and truly valuable for the rest of my life. I also felt the
experience of connecting to the facilitators and the other participants was so
healing and wonderful. The willingness of others to share and of the
facilitators to model what they teach. I highly recommend this workshop to
anyone!”
