InspectIT 1.6.9.83 is unable to instrument Weblogic 12c

Hi,

I have setup the InspectIT (version- 1.6.9.83) infrastructure as per documentation. In the .bat file of the weblogic application startup, I have setup as

set INSPECTIT_AGENT_HOME=D:\inspectIT\agent

set INSPECT_JAVA = -Xbootclasspath/p:%INSPECTIT_AGENT_HOME%\inspectit-agent.jar -javaagent:%INSPECTIT_AGENT_HOME%\inspectit-agent.jar -Dinspectit.repository=myIP:9070 -Dinspectit.agent.name=myAgent 

After starting the server, no logging messages of the INSPECTIT are printed and I am not able to see it in the inspectIT list of agents. I am working with Weblogic 12c.(java 1.8.121)

I am evaluating InpectIT. Any pointer/help will be appreciated.

Hi Sujit,

We are aware of this bug. It has been fixed in the 1.7 line (see https://inspectit-performance.atlassian.net/browse/INSPECTIT-2206). Please use the version 1.7.10 (https://github.com/inspectIT/inspectIT/releases/tag/1.7.10.93). Note that this Friday we are releasing the final / stable 1.7 line, thus you could also update to stable 1.7.11 on Friday.

Hi Ivan,

Thanks for the quick update. I installed 1.7 but still there are no messages on weblogic console of the InspectIT instrumentation logs. It is not even detecting InspectIT.. Is there any issue related to Weblogic 12c?

Hi Sujit,

Sorry for late reply. Did you make it work or it's still not working? We tested with Weblogic 10 and it works fine. If you say it's not working maybe we can have a small session to check your setup?
