Ok. Well at least I’m not crazy.
I do have one other question that’s unrelated…
I’m also trying to monitor a 3rd party application. I don’t have access to the source for this application, but I am slightly aware of the class structure within the app through their documentation. The one thing I noticed is that it doesn’t seem to pick up on all of the methods that are being executed. I opened the sendingClasses.cache and seems to have properly found most of the classes I’m looking for, and based on the actions I’m taking in the application, those methods should be firing. However, those methods don’t seem to be making their way into the influxDB as when I query it, I’m only seeing 4 methods total.
Do I have to specifically set up each method I want to monitor?

Subject: Re: [inspectIT] inspectIT client not updating anymore
Hi Chris,
Yea currently we have a limitation on the UI, once you switch to influxDB the UI views that are related to the long-term monitoring data will not show data anymore. We yet need to implement that views work also when data is saved in fnfluxDB. I know this is kind of confusing at the moment, but hope that it's not a huge problem for you?
Any other thing I can help you with?
Cheers,
Ivan

Not sure if I did something wrong here.
When I first started the inspectIT client software, I could click on the agent and most of the monitors in the Data Explorer worked as expected they were updating live as I watched them.
After playing around with some settings to see what things do, getting influxdb and grafana up and running, I now have the issue that the dashboards in grafana have accurate live information, however, the Data Explorer modules don't ever seem to show anything.
For example, I'm monitoring the system CPU, just because I know I can affect it with my application.
Perhaps I'm not understanding how it's intended to be used, and maybe I shouldn't be able to use the client for live monitoring. Not sure.
The inspectIT client looks like this:

Grafana looks like this:
