Welcome to Office Insiders Fast on Android Group!

Office Insider for Android is available in two levels—Office Insider Fast and Office Insider Slow.

 

Office Insider Fast:

Best for Insiders who want to use the earliest preview builds that are released more frequently, to identify issues and provide feedback, and who don’t mind a bit of risk using unsupported builds. Office Insider Fast is available for Word, PowerPoint, and Excel apps.

 

To join Office Insider at the Fast level, select the app you want to test: Word | PowerPoint | Excel. Then join the Office Insider Fast for Android group on Google. Then once your membership is approved you will start receiving insider builds.

 

Office Insider Slow:

Best for Insiders who want to get early access to fully supported builds with minimal risk and provide feedback to help improve Office. The Office Insider Slow level is available for Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote apps.

 

·       For Word, Excel, and PowerPoint: To become an Office Insider for Android at the slow level, join the Office Insider for Android community on Google+. Then select the app you want to test: Word | PowerPoint | Excel

 

How to Opt In

 

Office Insider Fast

To get Office Insider Fast builds on your Android tablet or phone, do the following: select the app you want to test: Word | PowerPoint | Excel. Then Join the Office Insider Fast for Android group. Sign-in to your Google account and click “Apply for membership.”

 

Office Insider Slow

To get Office Insider Slow builds on your Android tablet or phone, do the following:

·       For Word, Excel and PowerPoint, join the Office Insider for Android community. Then select the app you want to test: Word | PowerPoint | Excel

 

How to Opt Out

 

You can opt of receiving the Insider Fast builds or leave the program completely.

·       To opt out of receiving the Office Insider Fast builds, you can leave the Office Insider Fast for Android group. You will continue to get Insider Slow builds until you leave the program.

 

·       To leave the Office Insider program completely, go to each of the app testing program pages for  Word | Excel | PowerPoint  and click Leave the program. Then un-install the Insider versions of Office apps and install the public versions from Google Play.

 

·       To unjoin the Office Insider for Android community, click Member on the left pane and then click Leave.
