How to enable core dump in linux

Hi All , 

        How can get core dump of a segmentation faulted process in linux. How to enable that in linux ??

Type ulimit -c unlimited, generate symbol table while compiling. Use GDB for debugging.

                  Go through this for better understanding of core dump ,it happens when processes dies violently and unexpectedly .
