When you select Open, Quick access will appear in the left nav column, listing the shared document libraries that you use and a Show more... option. Click this to display all of your recently accessed locations on the right under the Recent section. Below the Recent section the Your Teams section lists all of the teams that you belong to.
"We recently had a bomb threat that affected multiple locations within our healthcare system. Fortunately it was fake, but with Quick Access our staff had the procedures and were able to respond quickly. We communicated through the Alert feature to keep everyone updated which took one seconds compared to the way we used to communciate."
"With Quick Access our main bank and numerous branch facility employees have instant access to not only our Emergency Plan but critical procedures and practices. We can transmit alerts across all branches with just a single touch of the App's alert feature. We really like that we can set access to procedures and practices based on the level of responsibility of the associate."
"We had a utility issue potentially causing a significant financial loss, not to mention having to move large numbers guests. Fortunately, the desk person had the utility shut-off procedures on their phone in Quick Access. Arriving on the 7th floor he was able to quickly isolate the break and turn off the water. Just that one incident made our use of Quick Access a great decision."
You cannot access the shell's Jump List directly or read its contents into the JumpList class. Instead, the JumpList class provides a representation of a Jump List that you can work with, and then apply to the Windows shell. You typically create a JumpList and set it one time when the application is first run. However, you can modify or replace the JumpList at run time.
'Quick Access' is a folder of shortcuts, you can pin other folders in there so that you can get to them quickly in File explorer.
It's also known as 'Frequent Folders'.
You can't pin files there, only folders.
EDIT- Just for completeness there are usually similar lists of recently accessed files if you right-click the icons of applications on the taskbar.
The setting for those is also in the above screenshot 'Taskbar Jump Lists'.
Thank you for your comments. I was referring to the saved files in the quick access folder. The "recent documents" feature was already disabled. Ccleaner is still deleting the saved files in the quick access folder. Any suggestions or should I file a bug report? Thanks
Reading your original post again I see that you have Windows 11.
Apparently the Recent Files going missing from Quick Access is a known issue with Win 11.
There can be a few possible causes, See here for more about that and some suggested fixes to try:

I'll recreate what I had as best I can. I'm not worried about that. And I'll do a screenshot so if it happens again, I can quickly restore what I had. But I'd rather it not happen again. And I'd like to know what it did happen.
I'm on 12.0.0.112 and it still is not fixed. I don't understand what "not part of our roadmap" means. The quickaccess toolbar doesn't work and there's simply no plan to fix it, even in the brand new Nitro v12?
Whenever I add/remove the quick access toolbar in Excel, either "for all documents (default)" or "for book1" and then select ok, it does not save. I also tried exporting, then importing, issue persist.
With Global Secure Access, you can define specific fully qualified domain names (FQDNs) or IP addresses of private resources to include in the traffic for Microsoft Entra Private Access. Your organization's employees can then access the apps and sites that you specify. This article describes how to configure Quick Access for Microsoft Entra Private Access.
To configure Quick Access, you need to have a connector group with at least one active Microsoft Entra application proxy connector. The connector group handles the traffic to this new application. Once you have Quick Access and an App proxy connector group configured, you need to grant access to the app.
Once you have your Quick Access app configured, your private resources added, users assigned to the app, you can enable the Private access profile from the Traffic forwarding area of Global Secure Access. You can enable the profile before configuring Quick Access, but without the app and profile configured, there's no traffic to forward.
12.0.8 added a properly supported option to add Quick Access to the folder tree (including automatic refresh when folders are added/removed), plus a /quickaccess alias for easy access to the folder via other methods.
I use this button Go /quickaccess FOLDERCONTENT in a toolbar but it does not show folders like my documents, downloads, iCloud etc.
I can see iCloud photo's folder in quickaccess in opus but it gives an error when i click on it (an error occured when reading folder).
and its only when i cklick the items from the folder tree
when i click on the "quick access" in the folder tree itself and than double click an item in my folder view, the path is correctly fullpath and clickable.
Recent list is automatic list which shows you recently accessed folders.
QuickAccess is like Favorites, but built in Windows Explorer and newer standard Windows dialogs, where you can pin or unpin folders as you like.
Just came here and saw you support the quick access feature. Looking now so long for a software which does that and finally I found one. Tried FreeCommander, XYPlorer and so on. I suggest you activate it as default and deactivate your own favorites bar, because the feature is really hidden and it helps so much. Especially in windows file selection dialogs like others mentioned before. I will buy it. Thanks and great work.
Through surveys and in-app feedback, you let us know that this change was disruptive and slowed your workflow. Specifically, you mentioned that the placement of the Undo and Redo commands on the Home tab required extra clicks and tab navigation. Additionally, some of you also missed being able to hide the AutoSave command from the title bar.
We heard you! With this update, the QAT is now shown by default and includes the Undo, Redo, and Save commands, and the AutoSave has found its rightful place back on the title bar. You can quickly customize the QAT to keep only the commands you need.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, however 1. I already had the Recent Document option UNchecked (so that's not the issue), 2. I don't use AutoClean (I don't even have it enabled (so again that's not it (unless there's some kind of bug that is making ASC use the settings there even when the option is disabled)), and 3. Browser Anti-Tracking is a PRO feature which is inaccessible as I clearly stated that I am using the FREE version (so yet AGAIN that's not it either). Really batting a thousand there. Looks like I'm going to have to end up using Glary Utilities and a few other programs in conjunction with that to replace ASC since at least their software only nags me to upgrade to the paid (pro) version when I actually run it, and they seem to be a little more 'on top' of what to clean and not clean on people's systems. Kind of a shame really since overall I generally like ASC but if it's going to wipe out stuff that I didn't even tell it to wipe out then there's certainly no way I'm going to continue using it and definitely no way I'm going to upgrade to the Pro version OR even recommend it to all of my friends anymore.
Description of the project/program: A survey identified educational needs of staff, with response data informing the development of a quick response code containing resources for prevention of catheter-associated urinary tract infections. Champions rounded on patients and audited maintenance bundle adherence. Educational handouts were disseminated to increase compliance with bundle interventions. Outcome and process measures were tracked on a monthly basis.
The Quick Access Toolbar, located above the ribbon in ArcGIS Pro and marked by a green box in the graphic below, is an easily accessible toolbar to which you can add commands that you often need. This toolbar puts those commands at your fingertips.
What is strange is that if I click on edit, the label has the right name (automation quick access), but there is volume as a parameter. The midi controller then only interacts with the volume even if I click on another parameter.
Commands contained in the ribbon can be added in the quick access toolbar. These are the favorite commands. To add a command to the quick access toolbar, right-click any icon in the ribbon the select Add.
Favorite Commands
Right-Click on any command to display the contextual menu. To remove an item from the quick access toolbar, right-click on the item and select Remove. To add an item to the quick access toolbar, right-click an item in the ribbon and select Add. Use this to customize your workspace with your preferences.
The solutions is to navigate to the specific Document Library you want to copy/move to and pin that Document Library to Quick access. That option has been there for a long time, but I never connected it to this process in my mind.
The Ribbon Quick Access Toolbar is a customizable element that is designed to provide end-users with one-click access to the most important and used features. It is represented by the RibbonQuickAccessToolbar class.
The collection of item links that are displayed within the toolbar can be accessed in code using the RibbonQuickAccessToolbar.ItemLinks property. This collection allows you to add, remove and access individual item links. To manage this collection at design time, use the Designer.
