Ms. Mukhtar Bibi has sent a message requesting your solidarity and support for her case hearing at the SCP tomorrow Wednesday, 6 March at 9.15 am (serial # 1), Bench # 2.

BACKGROUND:

FYI:  the SCP has decided to re-activate Mukhtar Bibi (aka Mukhtaran Mai)'s Review Petition against the 2011 SCP judgement in favour of her CONVICTED rapists' Appeal against conviction.

It was a 2 to 1 judgement in the SCP, with a Dissenting Note by then-Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk - a SUPERB Note.

The hearing is set for tomorrow - Wednesday, 6 March, 9.15 a.m., Bench # 2, J. Gulzar Ahmed, J. Faisal Arab and J. Ijaz-ul-Ahsan, at serial # 1.

Please join us in showing solidarity with Mukhtar Bibi.

Many of you are signatories to our (civil society activists') Appeal to the SCP for a Larger Bench for this Review Petition.

This is a harrowing case, so we ALL need to be there in solidarity and support.
