Itwould be extremely helpful to be notified when new product updates are available for download from the Autodesk site for Enterprise users. The Autodesk Desktop App does provide these updates but unfortunately is geared towards SMB and not for large enterprises utilizing contracts such as Token Flex. For larger customers the Desktop App doesn't work correctly. To date the only way I know a new update is available is by continually checking Autodesk's website to see if anything new is available.
Can a system be put in place that notifies Autodesk Account users when new updates are available for download? For example, Revit 2018.3.1 was released on April 27, 2018. Autodesk would email Autodesk account users the same day (within 4 hours of the download being available) telling them an update was available along with a link to the release notes for the new update.
Within each users account there would be some sort of setting that allowed a user to select which products to be notified for and for which versions (e.g. I want to be notified for 2019 updates but not 2018 or older). Since this filtering of messages would take quite a bit of work to implement phase 1 would simply email users for all products updates that are licensed under the enterprise contract.
We have crashed two machines in the last couple of months because there was a bug in powermill that was fixed by the patch that came out a couple weeks before the crash. We need to stay on top of updates. I would go as far as allowing automatic updates along with the notification.
We would also like this solution as I would be able to prepare the deployment without stress....this way the users are remiding me of updates and that is just not OK, or I go every day and check manually for updates.....not good.
as an Enterprise customer we cannot use the Desktop App for updates because it's not an option regarding to the license type. Also this is for security reasons that updates may only be installed via SCCM Packages. Therefore we would like to receive email notifications about high severity updates without having to check our account every week and start creating deployments as soon as they are available. Medium and Low severity updates are optional and will only be deployed on demand.
Refering @nick.vanegmond comment. This feature would significantly reduce workload and stress about staying on top of the updates. When company has over 100 engineers using different Autodesk Products, there is no other proper option for installations than SCCM. Possibility to order notifications of certain product updates and hotfixes from
manage.autodesk.com would help CAD management a lot.
Should something like this really be sitting in the Under Review bin for more than three years? You have a separate section for product updates on your website, how difficult is it to set up to ping an opt-in mailing list when a new update gets added?
This is a good idea. However, I would more flexibility; I'd like to see a page where us users can select to be notified not only when new software updates are available but also things like: get Notified When a New Inventor Idea (with certain tags) are Posted. Basically where we select what we want to hear (of certain topics) and how often. Maybe I don't want to receive instantaneous notifications every time someone posts a new idea but maybe every five new ideas or maybe once a week and so on.
Total Carbon Analysis offers architects unprecedented access to carbon insights through intuitive dashboards to evaluate the tradeoffs between embodied and operational carbon. Total Carbon Analysis will empower the industry to reduce its carbon footprint and improve sustainability of the built environment.
Building Information Models (BIM) hold massive amounts of valuable data about a physical asset. AEC firms can turn that data into a competitive advantage by offering customers a digital twin at handover.
Autodesk Tandem is our digital twin offering for buildings, and soon it will be available for all BIM Collaborate Pro subscribers as Tandem for AEC. This means AEC firms will be able to extend and diversify their services to deliver a living digital representation of projects, along with owner manuals, assets data, and warranty information all connected to the 3D model. Typically, 95% of data captured in construction goes unused, however, Tandem for AEC will put your data to work, accelerating operational readiness to bring new value to your clients.
AI is also bringing CAD into a new era. With AutoCAD 2025, users can improve content reuse and standardization in drawings with the latest Smart Blocks tools, powered by Autodesk AI. New features include Search and Convert, which enable you to quickly search your drawings for objects and convert them into new, existing, or suggested blocks.
With the new Object Detection tool, you can save time with automation that cleans up drawings by recognizing objects and converting them into blocks. Still in Tech Preview, Object Detection will continue to evolve and improve.
And for construction teams, in March, we delivered updates to Autodesk Construction Cloud that help project leaders and teams have the right information at hand in order to minimize the chances of setting off a chain reaction of costly mistakes.

NOTE: Generally speaking, when applying updates start with the older ones first, as there may be dependencies on other updates, and if you are using AutoCAD based Software (Map 3D, AutoCAD Architecture, AutoCAD Mechanical, Etc.), make sure to ALWAYS update AutoCAD first, before applying the vertical specific patches.

The Navisworks Coordination Issues Add-In with Navisworks 2024 further extends connection to the Autodesk Construction Cloud, now providing cloud managed Navisworks data enabling multi-user participation on desktop. Save and edit Model Coordination aggregated Views directly from Navisworks. Automatic NWF management facilitates multi-Navisworks user workflows and includes Navisworks-data merging.
The Model Coordination app with the Autodesk construction Cloud enables creation of coordination spaces with the auto-clash process disabled, benefiting Navisworks users utilizing Clash Detective. These spaces provide direct access to latest model versions published to Autodesk Docs.
While using find items in Navisworks to define search sets, two 'AND' conditions do not work. Only one condition can be satisfied. Critically, I have used the same search sets on the same NWF with the same NWCs linked from the local drive - the conditions work fine. There looks a bug or some change in metadata meaning stacked 'AND' conditions do not work when files are linked through model coordination? Is there a solution to avoid to avoid making search set redundant and thereby revising the whole clash process via navisworks- otherwise we will not be able to uwe the add-in
Constant issue even before the latest update. The ACC issues are not showing. Each time it take 15mins to reload navis (due to over 370 models on this project), this is now affecting the modelling production and clash checking.
1 - Currently, you must select the clashes, then right-click to create issues from clashes. It would be great to create batch issues across multiple clash tests, e.g. from all new, or all active, etc. If so, the BIM Coordinator could go quickly through the clashes to filter out the false positive, then, at the end of the process, create all the clashes from the new or active ones. It would be great to have a panel where assigning an issue template for each clash test. That would incredibly speed up the process, as common workflows define the clash tests so that all the clashes in that specific clash test are assigned to the first model.
2. It is critical to create a clash-issues synch feature, so all the clashes geometrically resolved can be automatically marked as closed (or assigned a parameter, should the BIM Coordinator want absolute control on closing them). Manually closing issues is a very tedious process, and should be left for "custom" issues created by project memebers, not by Navisworks.
100% behind your comment. There is minimum integration with issues and clashes- which is what model coordination is for...how was this missed? And Issue pins XYZ or basic clash report exports are lacking in model coordination. If it is supposed to be Navis replacement for those who do not have the software, at least provide the basic clash features and ability to save tests and export results properly. Max The limit of 100 issues published from clashes is relatively low, and should be increased up to 500 minimum.
The plug in Locks up all sessions of Navis Manage now. In other words if one session is locked up (refreshing files or appending files, even Upating clash test), all open sessions will lock up until refresh or append is completed. Please help.
It would have been nice to have a "next issue" button when you have an issue open so that you don't have to scroll down the list to find the next issue. It would also have been good to have an option to move the pushpins if they are in the wrong position.
-there is an issue where clash viewpoint locations are lost and change. It might have to do with model locations moving. Another thing that doens't happen in BIMTrack. Please associate the viewpoint with an XYZ location NOT a model location which causes problems.
-Also you cannot update the location of the viewpoint after creating the issue. this has huge impacts because the point of using issues is that you have a history showing issue creation date. we cannot afford to have to re-create an issue just because we cannot update a viewpoint location. don't tell me to update it in the web interface because that doesn't work either. Too time consuming to go back and fourth and it doesn't actually update issue viewpoint.
