Coincidentally, I've been thinking of doing the same thing! Though I am afraid it might sound a little bit monotonous. Hmmm. How about a remix!? Haha. Let's try that!

i recently bought an LG KS360 and i found this song in the mp3 folder. it was the first time i heard about this and i searched it on the web. i'm so disappointed i cannot find the full song anywhere.. :(

This song is impossible to find! I've been looking and looking. Are they still being put on all verizon new phones? I got mine a while back and it also has it. I use it as my alarm to wake up to everyday =)

I totally feel your frustration!! why can't find this song?? I searched for hours (seriously) yesterday to no avail. I wish I had gotten it off of my old LG somehow before I got my current Samsung. Maniac Garage, we need a full version!!!

I wrote a bit in my blog about my plight. Thanks for the awesome YouTube video!

I'm guessing Maniac Garage isn't a real band. Being that the song was a K-Pop hit and LG is a Korean company, they probably just re-recorded the song for western territories with session musicians. This way they have something that comes on the phone to demonstrate that you can use standard songs and the quality of playback of them.

I have this as a ringtone on my used Dare. I thought it was maybe a ringtone that the previous owner had purchased.

ok , my 15 month old baby friggin LOVESSS this song lol, cries & screams when the ringtone ends, then dances(really dances) when it comes back on and I can NOT find the song anywhere!! :( I'm 41 yr old mommy & this song makes her happier than ANYthing!! HELP please?! Driving me insane trying to find this maniac garage band(NO albums??) and desperately willing to PAY for an mp3 of the whole song!!! :( I'm serious, this isn't a joke, she was born Jan 26,2009..never seen anything like it lol! Also please get rid of the spammers on your site, took me forever to get to bottom! Thank you for having this site & info though! Please let me know if you find this song! :)

awwww, well like others before me I end up here as well...dead end...the Makou version is ok but I much prefer the one thats on the phone...I would think there is a version of it out there somewhere..just like the song by Bryan Adams "Heaven" and remixed by DJ Sammy...I dont know..just hope it turns up one day soon if its out there.

i guess im just another one that cant find .THE FAMUS UN POPULAR MANIAC GARAGE-THIS TIME SONG.. DAMIT I HAD HOPES TO FINDING IT. ALL I GET IS A DAILY ALARM 30 SECONDS.. IF ONE DAY ITT APEARS PLEASE SHARE last...@msn.com

heard this song a couple months ago on my cousins phone and hated it at first, but after hearing it over and over after that it got kinda catchy and i actually like it a lot. when i googled it there was nothing to be found except for the thirty second reel. and too bad its only the thirty seconds that everyone is talking about. My cousin has an Lg Rumor 2 and it was a free ringtone. I think said "Maniac Garage" is simply some advertizement ploy for Lg phones that copyrighted and reproduced only that 30 s reel of the Makou version. and if not, then thats too bad because that could have been extremely popular.

If you listen to the Makou version, I think it may actually be her voice with out all the techno and splicing. It looks like they just cleaned up the vocals, or had her sing it without digitalizing her voice. Is this a possibility do you think?

You gotta be kidding me. I have that ringtone ever since I purchased my LG cookie KM500 (something like that). I love it! and it brings me so many memories of the time I lived in San Luis Potosi. I was looking for the whole song and ended up here....come on! am I also a victim of LG???? a desperate mexican who wants this song badly :'(

Saluditos

Hi

You can't find this song because it never officially existed. That's why "Maniac Garage" is so impossible to find on the net; they too are imaginary. Let me explain: The song was part of a copyrighted but royalty free and credit free musician song kit (Guess that's why LG included it as a ringtone). These song kits are usually used by musicians, who don't have the money for studio costs, to showcase their work. I discovered the song for the first time in the mentioned song kit and after I had done my version of it, I thought I'd find other versions on the net to see how the quality of myne compared to the rest. That's when I realised the search for "This Time" had been raging on for a long time.

At "This Time" then, I'm glad to announce that I've just released my own licensed version this song. The song doesn't come with chords in the song kit and seeing that before my version was complete, I had not ever heard the ringtone, my version has a different chord arrangement than that of the ringtone. Although it's not exactly the same, it might appeal to many people who like the ringtone since it's got a staggeringly similar feel and it's not as jazzy and seemingly unsynced as the one on YouTube by "Makou" or the so-called "original" version by "Maniac Garage". My version is called (Right Now) This Time (Strangely Re-Plucked Mix) and you can listen to it here:

I think Right Now is the original because I have a game called DJ MAX & it have that song the game came out at 07 in asia & I in-ported it I know the song before I know Maniac Garage that what I think, you can even wiki it & find Right Now on the song list I wiki Maniac Garage got nothing.

I can't find the song at all either, and I've googled vigorously(what does that mean?). I've searched EVERYWHERE extremely thoroughly, but all I could find was this cruddy one by a bunch of idiots! I can't get a link, but I'm totally frustrated!

In the Philippines,

they are playing this song in one of the leaading bookstores, NAtional book store. i have heard the full song for more than 5 times alrady, but NOT the Japanese Makou version. it kinda sounds like the maniac garage. When I asked the sales lady, they say that they are unable to tell me for the musics are fed by the main office. its so frustrating! i'm gonna be posting the song once i get my hands on it.

there's a full song, everyone!

2018... 9 years since the creation of this post and 13 years since the song was first found.. at this point it is safe to say that a full version of this masterpiece either doesn't exist or will just never be found.

We might got new lead on it. In the new LG ad for the LG Velvet the person singing the "Favorite Things" sounds remarkably similar to Maniac garage. Listening side by side it sounds like her voice is older. We might be able to find the missing link. Come on gang there's a mystery afoot.

Once again I'm back to this rabbit hole, which is trying to find more information about the original band/singer, but after that MAXUME interview there's nothing as relevant about this song's origins, unfortunately the song is really lost...

It's nearly 4 am in the morning, and I've been scouring for an hour, desperately trying to find a song that was stored in my LG Lollipop. After finally discovering the song title and stumbling upon a 2009 post, I find no sign of the complete track or any information about the artist behind it. Will I ever get the chance to hear the full version?

Tony Saxon is a recording artist, soul singer, and multi-instrumentalist. He's been at it for the past decade, strongly influenced by Rhythm and Blues and Soul music from the 1950's and 60's...and while borrowing heavily from early music, he makes it his own... with his 8 octave vocal range and unique style of guitar, organ and piano playing. As we hear on his latest full length album Thirst & Howl. This 32 year old Jersey City born musician, now living in sunny LA has bended many genres in his music tenure, splitting his time between recording music as well as playing and touring with multiple bands across multiple genres over the years. But a big part of Tony Saxon's life is professionally sourcing, documenting, buying, selling, and preserving 45rpm Vinyl Records recorded and released by early Rock and Roll, Soul, R&B, Vocal Group, Doo Wop and Blues artists during the period of 1955 through 1969..

For his latest release "Thirst and Howl" Saxon took on the task of completely re-imaging, re-writing, and re-recording some of his favorite songs from those 1950 and 60's records he's always carrying on about ... songs that upon their release in the 50's or 60's failed to chart but posthumously achieved cult status thanks to DJ's in Europe decades after they released... Saxon out of pure love meticulously recreated songs by groups with household names like The Drifters as well as lesser known songs by cult famous singers like transgender pioneer Jackie Shane, R&B femme fatale Cookie Jackson. Saxon worked to "modernize" the sound of these records while staying within strict recording parameters - no edits, no MIDI tracks, and in his own words "no modern recording trickery"...his goal to usher in a new generation of listeners to this sound and style while staying true to long time listeners and the original artists...

Thats my damn name haha! It was my father's stage name when he sang at clubs in Vegas- but he made it my legal name; so now I joke with him that I'm the REAL Tony Saxon. I use my name because I play 90% of the instruments on my recordings, i usually start my recording process in studio playing my rhythm guitar or bass tracks live with a drummer...then I layer my vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, horns etc. On my new album I had the pleasure of recording with drummer Nick Fulsher. I wholeheartedly welcome collaborations from other musician friends as well in the studio; I had Joel Giron of The Killing Floors play organ on a few songs and Mark Weddington of Wyldewood Green play piano .
