There a two major new features: Profiles and a new Command Line tool.

Profiles

A profile encapsulates the client systems and their configurations, the monitor layout and options found on the "Client Systems" tab.

Profiles are useful for many different situations, such as:

• Using the same computer across different locations, each with their own set of computers
• If one or more computers alternate between a varying number of connected monitors
• If a monitor is shared between two computers, different profiles can be configured and assigned hotkeys to quick switch between them

Creating a new profile is straightforward using the profiles menu and includes the ability to take a copy of the active profile as a starting point:

There are 4 ways to switch between profiles:

• From the Profile menu on the "Client System" tab
• From the ID pop-up context menu by right-clicking the "ID" icon on the notification status bar
• By hotkey. To set a profile hotkey, select the "Manage Profiles" option from the pull-down Profiles menu, and then edit the profile in question
• Using the Input Director command line tool

Command Line Tool

Input Director v2.3 includes a command line tool that can be used to import/export its configuration, query its status or send it a command to action.
