Hello...

I have Input Director running as a background service on my slave
computer. If I move the mouse to the save and try to lock the
computer by using the CTRL + ALT + DEL function, it brings up the
locking mechanism on my Master computer. So basically, any CTRL + ALT
+ DEL function does not work on the Slave system - the Master retains
control of the keyboard when hitting CTRL + ALT + DEL. Does this
make sense? Any insight?

Thanks!

I have the same problem, but having used the other product (synergy)
for a while I have already been forced to remove the prompting for
CTRL + ALT + DEL by changing the setting in XP.

Here is a link for XP:

I know you can do it in previous Windows versions as well, but im not
sure if you can do in Vista.

Be aware that this opens up the possibility for someone to install a
password stealing application that looks like the logon.

Hi,

Ctrl-Alt-Delete will always lock the master system. To lock a slave
you need to use the Ctrl-Alt-Delete equivalent hotkey. The hotkey is
configured on the Master under the "Master Preferences" tab. It
defaults to Ctrl-Alt-Insert. When used, this will do exactly the same
as ctrl-alt-delete and will occur on whichever system has the input
focus (slave or master).

You could change the Windows system setting to remove tbe prompting as
suggested by Freilantzer, but I have found that once you get into the
habit of hitting Ctrl-Alt-Insert, its not a problem.

Regs,

Shane.

Hi,

maybe Ctrl-Alt-Insert as default is not the best choice because it is
already used by VMWare. I use VMWare mostly on the slave so this
setting was the first i changed after installing Input Director.
