I have a similar issue with the K800 - Absolutely Wicked Keyboard BTW.
I think the problem is actually with the Logitech Setpoint 6.32 software, although I don't quite know how to help debug it for you Shane.
(I think) There are also a few other issues with this newer version of Setpoint - I am still trying to confirm exactly where the issue is though.
-[ Background] - I am using WinXP sp3+ with most versions of .Net and most patches/updates. Prior to getting this keyboard, I was using a Dell Premium Multimedia keyboard (with no drivers loaded) and a Dell Premium Tilt-Wheel mouse, with the tilt-wheel software (this was/is actually a very old OEM version of Logitech Setpoint (don't know which one sorry). I had only been using ID for about 3 weeks (v1.3 Beta Build 98). It was working absolutely perfectly, although I never did try any of the multi-media or Fn keys with ID, because I just didn't use them.
The family bought me the Logitech K800 Keyboard and M950 Mouse for Christmas.
To use these with the "unifying receiver" requires the latest version of SetPoint which is 6.32
Both Keyboard and Mouse work a treat, however after a while I noticed that I couldn't copy paste (just simple clipboard text) from one machine to the other using ID. When this stops, it seems to stop in both directions. Sometimes, restarting ID on the Slave cures it, sometimes restarting ID on the Master cures it. I have updated both machines to ID v1.3 Beta Build 100, although it still does it. I'm still trying to work out if there is a pattern to it, but every time I think I've found the pattern, it either fixes itself or don't do it exactly the same while I'm trying to confirm the sequence or fix.
I may have dug myself into a bit of a hole here too. About the same time, I started to get a "bleeding" of a minimized window in my current screen. Hard to explain this one, but if surfing the web with Firefox 9.0.1 with a download window or an Explorer window minimized, I would get an almost translucent image of that minimized window appear. Opening the minimized window then closing it again was the only way to clear it. Nothing else would clear the image. Thinking this might have been been another conflict with SetPoint, I also upgraded my Nvidia drivers to the latest version. They didn't fix it either, although it doesn't happen as often now. Anyway, I've spent the last few days trying to sort out a few issues, without much success. I'm about to try winding the colour depth down to 16-bit instead of 32-bit, but I'm pretty sure the culprit will turn out to be SetPoint 6.32, which sorta screws me because I need to use it
I don't have speakers on my slave machine and I'm not concerned about the Fn keys or other "features", but I did try changing the "Logitech macro compatibility mode" to see if it had an affect on my clipboard issue, and it didn't. I also noticed that the Logitech keys didn't work on the Slave when the option was set.
Once again, still trying to get to the bottom of the simple clipboard copy paste thing, which I'm sure is related and it's almost certainly going to tie back to SetPoint 6.32
If there is anything I can do to help diagnose this, I'd be more than happy to.
Do you have any background test stuff that you've developed (or hidden in ID) to pump stuff between two machines for debugging purposes?
Oh, Input Director has got to be one of the best system-level utilities/programs I've used in a long time. It has everything and is just right. Brilliant Work Shane, you should be very proud of it. I do hope you are working on a Linux version so I can reduce my desk to just a single keyboard/mouse :)
