Hello,

I have set up Input Director on my 2 computer streaming setup, but I've encountered a very particular issue that seems to be a bug in my use of the software.

Here's my layout:

Cloudstream is my streaming computer, that will handle most of the various streaming software I use, and the director is my gaming computer. It works perfectly between the director and the #1 monitor of Cloudstream, however between #2 and Director, I encounter an issue where going FROM Director TO #2 works perfectly, but going FROM #2 TO Director sends my cursor to the bottom of #1 instead of linearly going to Director like it should.

I've tried tinkering with the positions on the layout, but nothing I do seems to fix this, it worked perfectly when #2 was connected to director but I want both monitors to be connected to my streaming computer since that's where I'll run most of the software I need to see, and the director will be handling exclusively games!

Please let me know if I missed anything, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Shane

Hi,

On Input Director on your Director system, for the cloudstream client monitor layout - switch to the option "Let Input Director infer which connected monitor is represented by which monitor icon".

If that doesn't help, then email me a copy of the Input Director configuration from both computers (you can export the configuration by clicking the "ID" icon in the top-left of the application window and you'll see the option on the pull-down menu) and a screenshot from your cloudstream computer of the Windows Display Properties that shows how Windows thinks the two monitors are positioned.

Regs,

Shane.

Hello again,

In the process of gathering the things you asked me, I turned off the setting "Ease cursor movement between displays" as a quick test, and that completely erased that erratic behavior I was encountering.

I'm not sure how that was affecting the transition between #2 and the director, I'm guessing Windows was trying to help the mouse on Cloudstream by forcing it to the bottom of #1 and considering that "easing cursor movement" between the displays.

Thank you very much for sending me back to those settings, I should have thought of tinkering with those first before posting, with the hope that me finding this out helps someone in the future!

Regards,
