Hello everyone,

I have been a big fan of Input Director for the past year or two; great  product, simple and clean design, love it!

However unfortunately I cannot connect my PC and my Laptop for the last 4 days. I can control my PC from my Laptop but it does not work the other way around. I double checked all firewall settings on both devices, freshly installed the latest version of the program, double checked the security settings, the right port, and the preferred channel, nothing seems to work.

Whenever I newly setup my PC as a client for my laptop everything works fine. When I try to do the same on my Laptop as a client for my PC, it says "The system ... does not respond". Later my Laptop is marked with the red cross as a client under my PC's client list.

Thank you all for reading this far.

Hi Flobbit,

Try changing this setting on both computers:

1. Open Input Director and switch to the "Global Preferences" tab
2. Click the "Change" button next to Preferred Network Interface
3. From the pop-up window, select the network common to both computers.

Do this on all instances of Input Director.

Contact me if that doesn't help.

Regs,

Shane.
