I have two monitors connected horizontally on the slave and "below"
them an LCD panel on the master (laptop).

I'd like to treat the two monitors as one long long monitor so that
when I drag the mouse to the top right of my laptop screen it moves
over the bottom of the right-hand side monitor connected to the slave
and similarly for the left.

Is this possible to configure? When I configured the slave in the
Input Director settings window as having two monitors stacked
horizontally, only one of them can be positioned over the top of the
laptop. In reality my laptop is centered between the two windows
connected to the slave so it would be nice for the bottom edges of
those monitors to share to top edge of my laptop.

I know this is possible in Synergy, but will continue to use Input
Director because it is superior in many other ways ... just wondering
if this is possible.

Hi,

Try editing the slave under the 'Master Configuration' tab on your
master and change the number of monitors attached to the slave back to
1. Input Director will then treat the 2 monitors on the slave as one
virtual large monitor.

Thanks for your response.

I made the suggested change from 2 monitors to 1 and now have it
working as desired but only when moving the mouse from the slave
screens back to the master: moving the mouse to the bottom of the
right slave monitor transitions over to the corresponding position
(appropriately scaled) along the upper right-half edge of the master,
and similarly for the left slave monitor. But when moving the mouse
from the master to the slave, the entire top of the master appears
connected to the entire bottom edge of just the primary screen on the
slave (monitor with the toolbar).

In the nView tool from Nvidia to manage the desktop I found an option
to extend the toolbar across both monitors so I tried this to see if
configuring the desktop in this way would convince ID to use both
screens when transitioning from the master to the slave, but still no
luck.

Is there something else I should try or is this something you might
try to rework in a future release?
