Will this be fixed or is this project dead? Mouse scroll isnt working in Windows 10 UWP menus like task menu, system settings and so on.

Are both machines Windows 10? Working fine for me, but can you give any additional info?

Hi,

By Windows UWP, do you mean Windows S?

Is the scroll not working using the scrollwheel on the mouse? Does left-clicking on the scrollbar and dragging work?

Thanks,

Shane.

Yes, both machines are Windows 10 of course... the software called Synergy has the same issue, thats why I wanted to try out this software, and it is not working too.

The only remote one which does work is the one by MS called Mouse without Borders.

And no... I mean UWP apps. For examle the Task Menu, the Windows Store, the Windows 10 Settings Window. Mouse wheel scroll does not work. It works though in normal win32 apps like Explorer, Chrome, and so on.

I think my theory is, that input director doesnt properly send keys to the underlayingmouse window, but just to the focused window. And this seem to bugged a lot of time. I tested it and it seems the focus doesnt properly get registered all the time to inputdirector. Maybe make a change, so the mouse inputs are always send to the current underlaying window, which is under the mouse cursor on the slave, regardless it has focus or not. But even if it has focus, the mouse scroll doesnt work all the time. For example if I click into a windows game like wow, the focus of the title color changes, but mouse scroll wont work. But it will work, if I press first on the window title and then into the game.

Hi,

Sending keys or mouse input isn;t directed to a particular window. The input is sent to Windows and Windows then chooses what to do with it. I can't recreate the fault you've described on my systems. I'll keep trying.

I cant reproduce it with a 100% chance too, but it happens. The same happens with the software Synergy, but it always works the with MS software Mouse without Borders.

Hi,

Is Input Director installed in the default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Input Director)? If it's been installed in a non-standard location, Windows won't grant it the access it needs to perform its function.

I found the reason.... mouse scroll via InputDirector in UWP apps on the slave will JUST WORK, if a real mouse is connected on the slave PC/Laptop/Tablet. If there is no real mouse conneced, it wont work. Nice bug... please fix it. A workaround is for my table to connect a usb mouse dongle to to it even no mouse is connected to the donble.
