keyboard & mouse switching to clients but not the monitor

I am just trying out Input Director on my three PC's.  However, while the keyboard and mouse switch to the selected client on running the appropriate shortcut, the video stays on the Director PC.  All three PC's are  new, as are the single keyboard, mouse and monitor

Any idea why the video isn't showing the client PC?

Because that's not what Input Director does. It only forwards your keyboard and mouse input to the client, but it doesn't get the video from the client. So you either have to switch your monitors input manually to the other machine or use one monitor per machine.
