Hello,

I haven't been able to copy and paste anymore for a few weeks since I've updated my Windows 11. These are the errors I keep getting on both machines.

Here's my settings

Both PCs have the same settings and are hooked up via LAN Ethernet Cable

I am using the latest Input Director on both machines as well.

Hi,

On the face of it, it looks like a firewall is blocking Input Director.

Couple of things to try:
1. Re-install Input Director on both systems (you won't lose your configuration, and it will re-instate its F/W rules as part of the installation process)
2. I can see from the screenshot that the preferred network interface is set. Double-check that this is still correct and make sure its set on both computers. It may also be worth clearing the preferred network interface on both systems just to see if that solves it.
3. Is there a 3rd party security product running on either/both computers? If so, that may be the culprit. See if it's producing any logs showing that Input Director network traffic is being blocked.

Regs,

Shane.

Hi Shane,

I am still getting the error.
1. I did a refresh re-install. Cleared my configuration and the second time I kept it.
2. I changed the preferred network interface to not set and it still hasn't worked either.
3. I did have Malwarebytes and removed it on my one PC and it still seems to be not working.

However, I tested with my Ethernet Network Preferrence and it seems to be okay for now, I will keep you updated.

Best,

Ryan

What's the best way to debug clipboard issues?   I've run into the same situation where ID is working fine for mouse/keyboard, but fails to copy paste text.

These are on desktops with hardwired ethernet,  preferred network connection  set, wifi disabled, no third party security software.

Same here - ID is working fine for mouse/keyboard but fails to copy/paste text. No error, just simply will not paste between master/slave. I'm on 2.3 build 173 and would appreciate any hints on how to debug this.

Thanks!
