Hi,

What error message are you seeing? Have you been able to add the slave
(on the master configuration tab)? Do you see a green tick next to the
slave's name?

Regs,

Shane.

I have added the Slave to the master configuration and have selected
the allow any computer to take control button on my laptop. There is a
red x next to the slave computer. I am getting the slave did not
respond error message.

On your slave computer, is the Input Director "ID" icon green (to
indicate it's in slave mode)?

Do you have a 3rd-party firewall installed on either the master or
slave computers? or does the modem/router they both connect to have an
active firewall?

Hi, I recently downloaded Input Director and having this problem. My
Master computer runs Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and my Slave computer
runs Windows XP Professional 32-bit. When clicking "Scan SLaves" I
receive the following message, 'Slave "[slave name]" didn't respond.'
I have followed the instructions prescribed on the Input Director FAQ,
disabled Windows Firewall on both systems, and am wondering if my
Belkin Wireless Cable/DSL Router may have a firewall prohibiting
communication. Both PCs are connected to this router via Ethernet
cable. I am not very savvy with the jargon in my Belkin Router setup
webpage so do not know what to look for if a integrated Firewall is my
problem.
