Mirroring not working

I have a VM that is acting at Director and another VM acting as client. Everything says it should work, but when I click begin mirroring, nothing moves on the client vm and if I put my mouse over the client VM it shows the splash cursor. Am I having this issue because I'm using 2 VM's on my main computer, but running the ID on on VM 1 and VM2?

That last sentence brings me to my next question. My ID install on my main computer hangs up when it reaches "adding rules to the Windows Firewall for InputDirector..." It's been like this for 3 hours, the VM's installed without issues.
