Since I have got no responses so far and the inprise newwsgroup will be shut
down I am reposting these questions.

Hi,

We have been having problems for some time with an installation where the
client would suddently hang, and after a LOT of testing this seems to be a
problem with the SocketServer and our appserver running on WinNT 4.0 pc with
2 processors. It seems that the SocketServer looses some messages from the
Appserver, and therefore the client is never told that the process is done.

We believe that thsi is a problem with syncronization between the
SocketServer and the AppServer. Perhaps the appserver answers to quick
(because running on another cpu) for the SocketServer to catch the message?

Is this a known issue at Borland or anywhere else?
Is it possible to do anything about it?
Does Borland have any plans about doing anything about it?

If your Delphi version is 3 or 4, then you're out of luck. Midas2 does not
support multiprocessor machines.
