Hi,

I built a client Java application using CORBA (It's an application, not an
applet). And I want that
the client ORB of that application uses a Smart Agent that is anywhere.
Can I specify IP address of the machine where that Smart Agent resides? How
can i do that?

PS.: I am using Visibroker 4.1 for Java.

Thank you,

Renato.

The answer is yes.

Lookup the docs. There is a whole chapter about osagent and different usage
scenarios.
It also covers how to specify an osagent machine adress.

You can also set the address in code, using the ORB's "-ORBagentAddr
XXXX" argument, where XXXX is an IP or a LAN computer name.
