Hi there,

using BCB 5.0 not patched (cannot patch it cause some LEDA libraries are not
working after patch)

On IBM site I saw that there was two ways to connect to an AS/400.

Through ODBC and through ADO-OLEDB .

Can I use ADOExpress with the OLEDB toolkit wich is provided by IBM ?

Has anyone used these two methos ? Wich is the most reliable ? wich is most
feature rich ?

Thanks ,
david

See the message in this newsgroup titled "This is how to use ADO / OLE DB
with AS/400" dated 11/18/00.

ADO has comparable features. There are ADO-specific controls that take the
place of TDatabase (connection), TQuery, and TTable controls. So
functionality is similar. With ADO, though, you can get away from the
hassle of setting up ODBC DSNs. Can't speak to performance yet.
