AppServer and a firewall with NAT service

We have a Appserver 4.5.1 running inside our firewall with NAT
service.
The problem is that the client (after a while) tries to connect to the
server using the hidden ip-number (10.182.x.x).
This is our setup:
Client (213.237.x.x ) | firewall |(10.182.x.x) AppServer
The appserver can't lookup or use external ip (213.237.x.x)
We have read the GateKeeper Manual and tried allmost every thing - but
it does not change anything.
We would like to use the simple setup - without gatekeeper (from
VisiGateKeeperFAQ.html)

It does not change anything on the network level.
Is it possible to make it work with or without gatekeeper ?
