The entire Dakshinamurthy stotram lyrics and meaning tries to explain the glory of Atman (Ultimate self), which can be attained with the grace of Guru Dakshinamurthy, a form of God Shiva considered as the God of enlightenment, who sits facing south-ward direction surrounded by the sages.
