If something is "cringeworthy", it makes people feel uncomfortable and embarrassed. For example:

Jake: Did you see his terrible performance at the talent show? It was cringeworthy!

Take a look at this video. The guy proposes to his girlfriend in front of a shopping mall full of people - and she says no!
