I have been getting update notifications and I follow the instructions but my xara pro has not updated and everytime I open it it asks me to update please can I get some help and this is very inconvenient when I am using the program that the update prompt comes up
If you mean you have no access to the online Content catalogue, then it is most likley that your Subscription service has expired, you can check this at Magix website, magix.com, by logging in, Account icon top right of the home page, and select My products.
This could also be why the program is not updating, however you should have been receiving emails informing you your subscription was about to expire and pop-up message also saying you do not have a valid subscription.
Hi from my previous question - I have asked this and you have told me several things including that I do not have a current subscription - it feels like I am going around in circles - please can you help me resolve
Unfortunately we are going round in circles as a relevant piece of information, I asked for, has not been provided ie the version number of the program as found under Help, About ..... - the dialog should have the number shown similar to this which is another Xara product, that is part of Designer Pro.
Similarly if you select Check for updates option under Help , is this now working either giving you the option for an update or No updates were found message - this too was offline earlier.
Since your Update Service is active, you can get version 19. It does not happen from within the program; it's manual. You simply download the trial version and activate it with your serial number for Xara - the same one that is in your account (for v18). Then, there may be a patch to update to.
You have to open the version 19 and put in your serial number to activate it. Use the same serial number as for 18 - you only get one serial number in your account when you have an active Update Service.
I told you to install the trial version of 19 and activate it using the same serial number. If you want version 19, that is the only way to get it. It will not uninstall version 18. Please do so and please read what I wrote.
I do not think that uninstalling XDP 18 will have any effect on this problem! I doubt very much whether it is version 18 that is preventing the installation of version 19. In fact, the presence of version 18 on your computer when you install version 19 is likely to make the process of verification of this new version very much easier.

This newest Inkscape release includes a wealth of new tools and improvements developed over the past four years. A new measurement tool allows designers to measure between or across objects; this will be especially useful for font design. All available font-variants are now displayed and selectable in the Text Tool. The currently used font faces are displayed at the top of the font-selector, and now CSS 2 font lists are supported.
