Greetings,
Thank you for participating at our Startups2Students Fest! We are
glad to have you joining us!
I would like to share more details information about the event
below:
1) We have changed the venue. It is no longer at UMC Ballroom. It
will be hosted at Spark on 1310 College Avenue, Boulder, CO,
80302. We included the map to available parking lot in this
email.
2) You do NOT need to bring tables. We will have a table with a
specific spot for you at the venue.
3) Please bring swags (T-Shirts, toys, pens, etc..) along with
everything else you think they are necessary.
4) We are creating a very casual and relaxing environment. NO dress
code and a resume are NOT allowed. Please bring laptop or anything
that you think necessary to showcase your product, talk about your
culture, team and working environment. We encourage you engage a
constructive conversation with students and learn more about them.
Please don’t ask for the resume just yet until after the
event.
5) We are using
GuideBook to help students
navigate and find a right information about your company. Would you
mind send me a link to your company website, social media, the logo
and a brief information about your company (maximum 250 words)
please? We will include those information on our GuideBook package.
6) We are going to film and create a summary video about the event.
If you are our sponsor, our camera man will conduct an
interview with you and include your best parts in our video.
7) Our great friends at Groundwork will run a mini-workshop
on improving the entire hiring process by helping companies get
more hands-on in their interviewing. The 1-hour mini-workshop will
start at 7pm in the big conference room at Spark. You will have a
chance to work with thema and their selected pool of students. If
you are interested on participating, please let us know by
Friday, February 28th at 3PM. Below is more information
about the workshop.
"Groundwork's goal is
improve the entire hiring process by helping companies get more
hands-on in their interviewing. We contract with individual
companies, and then put on interactive workshops that reveal very
specific traits about the job seekers they bring to the table.
These are things that are typically very difficult to learn in a
standard interview: Who works well in a team? Who holds up under
pressure? Who analyzes problems particularly well? Or who holds up
in front of an audience? Our workshops are fast-paced, creative and
fun for all participants involved.
We can also provide a lot of value by shaking up the traditional
career fair format. Rather than the resume hand-over and a
handshake, we use our exercises to have job seekers and employers
hack through problems together as a better way to learn
about each other. In the end, we're hoping to save everyone time in
the process AND get a better fit for all parties. Learn more
at www.groundwork.jobs
At Startup2Students, we'll
be demonstrating the Groundwork process from 7-8pm. Come join us for a fast-paced
mini-workshop that will allow you to interact with job seekers as
they SHOW you what they can do!"
