Interesting to see what can be printed.  I am having an issue getting the printer to be recognized by the Dell at school (needed to take my laptop back home).  The printer comes up as a new device, but the computer is refusing to connect properly.  In Repetier, it tells me that my connection parameter is incorrect, and then encourages me to bring up the printer settings.  Nothing in the settings is part of my understanding of what to manipulate in a computer (port, baud rate, etc. - see attachment).

Somebody at Tech took care of this same issue for me for my laptop when it came time to start printing, and I guess I need help again.  This time I will take notes!  Any thoughts about what to do next?

Thanks,

Carim

The two first things to check would be the port  and the baud rate

The baud rate should be 115200

Second check port, I don't think this should be 1 or 2. What I did was unplug the printer, hit refresh ports, looked at the available com#, then plugged the printer usb back in, refreshed the ports, and looked to see what port was new. That new one was the one I used. Turned out for me I am using com16.

Hello,

Just wanted to let me know that the info from Gerry and Matt worked together to make my printer at school work on the school computer for the first time late on Friday.  Really excited to find some time tomorrow to print something useful.

Thanks for the help,

Carim

Just wanted to let everyone know we are in the process of building 3 of these printers. I want to thank Jerry for helping us by supplying us with the kits.  Now it's on the students to build them.
