Attached is a bill of materials and sources. We don't endorse any retailers and encourage you to source as many materials as you can locally.

We recognized a quality control problem with the guide rods (drill steel) during this week's event and I updated the attached BOM with a replacement that should have better tolerances. If you have a local supplier, given our experience, I recommend you take a micrometer or calliper with you to the store and check the diameter of the rod before purchasing to ensure it is not larger than 8mm.

Recycling is always acceptable and encouraged - the glass for your print platforms was destined for the landfill or purchased at our local ReStore (Habitat for Humanity outlet) as old storm window.

My recommended accessory (as discussed) is a cooling fan for small or detailed prints. The Melzi (controller) has terminals for controlling a fan that can be activated via g-code by selecting an appropriate value in Cura under Cooling. Frankly, I don't use it and instead just manually turn the fan on after a layer or two is on the print platform, but I encourage you  to experiment.
