I just wanted to let everyone know about a new cd that I've released
called 'Vortex Live'. It takes some shining music from the Vortex
Series for New and Improvised Music, recorded live over the last 3
years.
The artists featured are: Todd Brunel clarinets, Rob Bethel cello,
Esther Viola oboe, Andrew Hickman tenor sax (tracks 1 and 4), Dave
Maxwell piano, Kevin Frenette guitar, Junko simons cello (track 7),
Yael Bat shimon violin (track 8), Jonathan LaMaster violin (track 6),
Tom Hall tenor sax (track 2), Geni Skendo flute and shakuhachi (track
8), Daryl Shawn guitar (track 6), Matt Davignon drum machine (track
7), John McClellan drums Most tracks recorded live at Outpost 186 in
Cambridge, Massachusetts and at the Cambridge YMCA by
David Lee, Ripple Effect and Miasma recorded by Brett Rautenberg.
You can link to the Cd Baby site and download the album, or you can
order a hard copy from me. We are planning a cd release party for June
26 at 2:00 at the Somerville Armory Cafe.

By the way the album also includes bassist Blake Newman on two tracks
as well....
