Hi

Both x64 and x32 compile ok with preview 2. The x64 version appears to install OK. I get the usual warnings because my installers are no longer digitally signed.

But the x86 it not so good. It cane up with a virus and was quarantined. I have directed it to AVG and stated that I think it is a false positive.  But now it won't compile again because it thinks one of the files is locked.

So...what's your question?

You are correct that this is a false-positive with your anti-malware tool. The solution would be to exclude the directory/directories where you build Inno Setup installers from your anti-malware tool. Not sure what else we can say about it. I would also point out, in the top of the web interface for this Google group, is this message:

"Please do not post messages about your antivirus program here but contact its vendor instead."

Hi Bill

I am aware of that thank you. It was the fact:

1. That this did not happen for x64 so why did it for x32?
2. The fact that this is a beta after-all and there is a possibility of some issue.

No worries then. I'll whitelist my folders like you said.

For #1: This is probably because the anti-malware heuristics used by the anti-malware software are triggered differently for 32-bit executables than from 64-bit executables.

For #2: The only issue is that anti-malware softwares, historically, have had a relatively high percentage of false-positives with 32-bit Inno Setup executables.
