Taskbar Icon Issue in Inno Setup 6.4+

Dear Inno Setup Team,

I hope this message finds you well.

I have noticed a change in behavior between Inno Setup 6.3.2 and 6.4.0 (and later versions) regarding taskbar icons. In version 6.3.2, my installer’s application icon (ICO) correctly appears on the taskbar throughout the entire installer runtime. However, starting with version 6.4.0, the icon only appears on the first language-selection window, and disappears on subsequent custom windows. All of my installer windows are custom, except for the language-selection page.

I have reviewed the documentation but could not determine the appropriate approach to maintain taskbar icons while updating to the latest Inno Setup versions. Notably, tools like Process Explorer can still detect the icon without issue.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance, suggestions, or recommended practices to ensure that the taskbar icon is displayed correctly for all installer windows in the newer versions of Inno Setup.

I forgot to add that if I launch installer through the Innosetup run, then the icon is visible

Also, could you please clarify what the screenshot you included is supposed to show?

I temporarily cut out part of the code to show you and found the root cause — it’s in VclStylesInno.dll.
I’ve moved away from using VCL for now and will wait for your 6.6.0 release, so as not to waste your time.
