This website offers 3 download plugins. 

InnoTools Downloader

This is not 15 years old and does not support the HTTPS prefix. So can’t use this.

Inno Download Plugin

This is only 5 years old but it does not look like it is maintained. The advertised Google Group is not supported by the author. So there is no forward upgrades or new translations. But it does support HTTPS.

Dwinhs Tool

This is the one I use right now. The problem is it does not always work for the end user. I don’t know why. At the moment no feedback from the authors. I had paid for a license key.

This is no critics of any plugin. I welcome reviews on the available plugins to download external files. My software installer is in 50 languages. What are your experiences with these plugins? Is there anyone that is hands down the best to use?

I use Inno Download Plugin and I recommend it.

It supports httpS & Graphical Installer out of the box, there are no critical issues or features missing.
