Hi everyone,

Just installed Inno Setup 6.3. Compil32.exe (IDE) fails with this error on start:

---------------------------
Exception EScintEditError in module Compil32.exe at 001D7E55.
TScintEdit error: Too many colors.
---------------------------

I thought it's related to 10 bits per color on my screen, however it fails with the same error on 8bpc as well.

Please advise.

Environment:
    OS: Windows 11 23H2, Build 22631.3672
    Screen resolution: 5120x2160.

I don't what you mean with "I thought it's related to 10 bits per color on my screen, however it fails with the same error on 8bpc as well. ", can you explain more?

And this is with the current download (sha256 hash: caaaaf91d43b2878bbb63ae90aa2f0e144b5ec85a75f19e423e4fc4ddc52e157)?

Also, what is your DPI setting?

Greetings,
Martijn

My screen DPI is 175%. I thought "Too many colors" error refers to the screen's color depth (I use 10 bits per color), however this error seems to be unrelated to the color depth.
I tried Inno Setup build with SHA256 starting with "caaaaf91".
