Hi everyone,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Lindsey and I recently started
managing a small Bed and Breakfast that is 35 miles from Dowtown
Dallas Texas. I am really trying to get this business up and running
because the previous managers failed in that area. We get maybe 1
couple a month and I honest do not know were to begin to drive up
sales. I placed our "take One"s in several businesses around and I
have placed a lot of adds online but other than that what can I do? We
have a website but I need to get our name out there. The owner whole
heartedly believes that this is a purely internet based business but I
do not believe that we can solely rely on the internet. Any advise
would be great thanks

Hi Lindsey, You are right, this is an internet business. I have found
very little return in most printed materials and books. Look at your
location and its target attractions, then optimize your web site
specifically for those areas that draw the most in terms of potential
overnight guests. That is the best place to start. Also, look some of
the larger online directories and purchase listings at a level higher
than most of your competition does. You will stand out in the crowd
more that way. SEO is the single biggest factor. Go to http://www.innvisions.com/
and see what they might offer you in terms of SEO work. You really
cannot pay enough for solid quality SEO work. It is the difference
between heads in the beds and a cold pillow.
