Hi IPYT students and alumni!

Are you feeling like you're stuck in a rut? Your clients with pain not progressing as well as expected? And maybe you cannot get them out of your head? As yoga therapists, we understand that pain covers every aspect of your scope of practice whether you work with depression, anxiety, addiction and recovery or grief. Pain overlaps human suffering. Updating your knowledge, revisiting pain physiology, spending time thinking about your language and approach to pain care … we all need to do this from time to time to reinvigorate our work and our career with new depth and greater awareness and compassion.

Did you know that we have updated our IPYT Level I Foundations to include a complete Certificate in PCA? Beginning in 2023 all IPYT Graduates will be double certified upon completion of their IPYT 300 hours.

Pain is pain – and because it touches every aspect of our work, we want all of our past graduates and alumni to have the opportunity to update their skills as well.

I’d like to invite you to our IPYT EXCUSIVE OFFER to Neil and Lisa Pearson’s Pain Care Aware course! Building upon the foundational knowledge you gained from your Inner Peace Yoga Therapy Pain Care Module, this new course offers a deeper dive into understanding and applying pain science to yoga techniques and principles. Not only will you review pain science, but you'll also engage in reflective journaling and explore the value of compassion in pain care practices. Plus, you will receive the added bonus of class templates and recordings of practices and techniques. You will choose one of two certificate routes (group or individual applications) as you complete a practicum and earn your Certificate in Pain Care Aware. You'll leave the course with advanced knowledge and practical skills that set you apart from others in the field. Don't miss out on this opportunity to elevate your understanding and ability to help others live well with pain, no matter the cause of their suffering. QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE:

How is this different than what I learned from Neil in my IPYT Foundations or the IPYT Mentorship?

Your Inner Peace Foundations Pain Care Module was three or four days on understanding pain, physiology and pain and specific physiological conditions.

In this Pain Care Aware Course work we move into building on this knowledge and addressing its application. You will review pain science before you practice its applications to yoga techniques and pain care principles. We’ve added reflective journaling for self study as well as a section on compassion science. You also receive Pain Care Aware class templates and experience Pain Care Aware classes.

With the PCA Foundations and Certificate Level of choice you will get 60 hours of advanced knowledge and practical application of Pain Care Aware which go well beyond the  IPYT Foundations and give you an added certification, endorsing you with specialized skills in pain care.
