Hi everyone,

I’m sharing information about Maria’s 2023 Advanced Functional Yoga Therapy training. This course is a requirement (one of the Advanced Requirements) for our 800 hour certification program. 

Per below, the course is planned to be in person in Tucson in December 8-11 and is preceded by 25 hours of self-paced prep work. 

Maria needs to make a decision by May 31 if there are enough participants to hold this course in person. (Alternatively it will be held virtually.)

Hello Yoga Therapists,

In Fall 2023, Functional Yoga Therapy: Advanced Assessment Techniques and Therapeutic Protocol training will be held in a hybrid format of online preparatory work and in-person learning in Tucson, Arizona.

There is approximately 25 hours of self-paced preparatory work to be completed prior to the in-person training, all accessed on our learning system with the help of a mentor.  This is followed by 4 days in person, in Tucson, Arizona; arrival Friday 12/8 with an evening session after dinner, full day Saturday/Sunday, and final morning session on Monday 12/11.

Tuition is $1400 total.  Tuition for returning graduates is $700 total, with a 50% discount.  A $450 deposit is required to reserve your space.  Payment can be made by cheque to Maria Shamas, 10861 North Sandra Road, Tucson, AZ 85742, or send Venmo (send as gift) to Maria Shamas (Maria-Alive) in...@mariaalive.com.

Advanced FYT December 8-11, 2023 will be hosted at Redemptorist Renewal Center in Tucson, Arizona.  On-site accommodation is $140 per night for double occupancy, total $420 for 3 nights, including meals.

Although we do have many interested, as of now we do not have enough participants for in-person training in Tucson.  If we do not have enough by May 31, we will proceed with virtual learning this fall, two weekends November 11-12 and 18-19, and plan for in-person again in 2024.
