In the beginning there were only the Fast Plot, the Contour Plot and
the Stacked Plot modes.
Then the list began to grow. Today I have added to the list the Fast
Contour Plot, which is faster than them all, fast plot included, and
substitutes for the classic Contour Plot. To see this wonder you need
the free iNMR 0.1.3 for Windows which, in turn, needs… guess what?
Windows Vista or higher.
Obviously, if anybody likes it and asks for it, I will add this pearl
to the classic Mac version.
There is an inherent drawback to this mode: when you expand the
spectrum the plot looks blurred. It looks out-of-focus, which could be
disturbing. For this reason, iNMR automatically switches to the old
routine when you zoom in and to the new routine when you zoom out. To
be exact, when the number of available DIPs (pixels) is more than the
double of the number of the matrix points iNMR chooses the old classic
Contour plot; when the number of pixels is less than the double iNMR
chooses the new Fast Contour plot.
If your FT size is, for example, 2K x 1K you will appreciate a huge
improvement in terms of speed and no loss of details. The larger the
matrix, the thinner the lines and the finer the plot.
iNMR for Windows is already quite stable and it won't be free forever.
The free keys I am giving away in these days will unlock all the
versions that will be released in 2012 and 2013. Please spread the
