Chuwi Hi8 Pro seems to be cheep substitute of the lenovo tablet.
I noticed that tablet is equipped with a USB-C nest  which is shared by power charging  and USB data. At this  moment it is not possible to simultaneously power the tablet and exchanges of data.
I am looking for a suitable adapter, but as some guys  from  other forums say it is a problem with the delivery of ~ 2A current. Old standard is working on 0.5A  and tablet is not charging.or very very long.

With my Lenovo tablet, I had to go through the process of buying different adapters until I found one that could charge and get the data correctly. There is many different  OTG+ charge but they don't all work as well.
I mention in my BOM a USB Hub which comes with a terrible power supply(1.0A) :
https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/Adroit-8-Port-High-Speed-USB-3-0-Hub-Power-Adapter-for-PC-Laptop-Computer-JAN15/32596302388.html?spm=2114.30010308.3.71.QxI2Pz&ws_ab_test=searchweb201556_0,searchweb201602_4_10037_10017_507_10033_10032_401,searchweb201603_2&btsid=85082c1b-cfbe-4be8-8b5b-f035c6e52baa

I found a special power supply for the Hub with the same connector that delivers 4.0Amps. This allows to really charge the Tablet and also to connect all the USB devices using the OTG.

Many thanks. You save my time and money (;
At this moment I'm going to power  all elements  base on the Power Bank. (5V 2 - 3.6A).
I'm afraid of servos which  should to be powered by 6V.  I wonder about use of  converter step-up  from 5 to 6V. Is it good idea?

Good!
Hey no, the servos need to have their own power source. Do not use the hub to power them. The hub only powers the Arduino and other usb devices. eg, tablet/camera/arduino/microphone/soundcard...
Remember each device uses about 0.5Amps. When added together it should be less than what your charger can give , otherwise the tablet won't charge.

hm... I bought Powerbank 20 Ah of thinking that should be enough for 2-3  hours autonomous work. I have only  head.
Maybe I do some sleep funcionality.
So I'm going to make power consumption test in this scenario.

The powerbank will be okay to with stand 2-3 hours of autonomy for the Hub and the Tablet. You will need a 6V12Ah battery supply for the servos. If you are using 6V or 7.4V servos you can use this type of battery:

The powerbank as Gael mentioned is only good for logic and electronics but can't deliver enough current for servos.... You need a battery capable of delivering tons of current... A 6V 12amp SLA or a 6.4V LifePO4 are your choices... No offence personally but some people building inMoovs need to learn the fundamentals of Ohm's Law.... Specifically the relationship between, volts, amps (as in capacity) and amps (as in current)...

Yes you are right, the Ohm`s Law is a fundamentals to know to understand how things are working. But don`t forget that it`s not everybody that start with the same knowledge. The only thing need to build an InMoov is to want to learn about electronic, robotic and all what an InMoov can do.

So it`s really great that he ask the question. This forum is there for that.

I still can't simultaneously charge tablet and use the hub device at the same time.
I tried Gael solution with a USB 3.0 hub + 3.1 OTG cable but tablet do not want to charge. (;

The only configuration in which the tablet is charging  is active HUB 2.0 + 2.0 OTG cable. This solution gives a 0.5 A so it is  a little bit for power the tablet.
 Hi8 Pro have USB type C plug but 2.0 USB interface,  so the max power is 0.5A.

I can't believe that the manufacturer has created such a horrible hybrid. Either charging or transmission!
I sent a query to the Chuwi support but still without any answers.

How many Amps is your power supply for to charge the Chuwi and to power the hub? You need a 5V power supply that can give at least 4 Amps.
OTG needs to be plugged to power supply BEFORE adding any USB devices or the HUB, other wise it won't charge.
OTG is tricky...

Hi Gael, do you have a wiring diagram or a picture on how to connect the power bank and the tablet using the OTG charge cable. I don't want to anything until I know for sure how it all connects to the 8 port hub. I have the same hub and OTG cable and tablet as your Inmoov is using.

Thank you,
