I am finding it difficult to find this Hercules HD Twist webcam for InMOOVs eyes.....is there an alternative that would work?

Most likely I will either be using Arduino or EZRobot controllers....

Thanks,

If you go the route of ez robot, just use the ez robot camera... That's what I use and it works great....

I've used some very very cheap webcams from eBay which were easy to dismantle and fitted the eye sockets nicely. Not hd but that saves having to use the pyramid down filter for face recognition.

RobotGuy6,

So I have one EZRobot Camera....did you use 2 of them for the eyes? Then did you also use 2 EZ Robot controllers to get them working?

This might be the way I go...exploring options.

You only need one camera... Mine is in his left eye.... I am using one ezb4 and an SSC-32 servo board....

Any cheap webcam will do the job. The Hercules was easy to find when I created the eye mechanism.
I also use, in the second eye, a 8 euro webcam which isn't HD and it works okay with OpenCV on MyRobotLab.

The cameras are directly USB connected to the PC, or Raspberry, or Odroid, depending on what you plan to build.
