Hello,

I'm curious about the InMoov robot project and a few basic questions. The inmoov.fr website does however not seem to be working at the moment?

I'm considering the feasibility of using an InMoov robot arm for kitchen use. I would appreciate any answers or thoughts on the following questions regarding an arm (from shoulder to fingers):

- how much weight can an InMoov robot arm lift?
- how much time roughly does it take to print and set up mechanics for one arm?
- how does programming the arm work - what do you need to know to be able to program it?

Thank you!
Robert

Hello,
InMoov site is back up after an update.

- how much weight can an InMoov robot arm lift?
1,5kg at extended arm(more or less depending on the material used to print)
- how much time roughly does it take to print and set up mechanics for one arm?
About two weeks if you know what you are doing on a single home printer. A few months if you don't know what you are doing.
   :)
- how does programming the arm work - what do you need to know to be able to program it?
You can test the software MyRobotlab with the virtual InMoov without having anything connected:

I never lie about InMoov's real abilities, because it would disapoint people instead of making happy builders!
That being said, you should know that InMoov is mainly to learn and educate the process of building a humanoid robot.
It is not conceived as a industrial project to execute everyday's tasks.
Therefore don't expect the arm to be strong and precise for kitchen assistance.
