I have been trying to order these or the Tower Pro clones for months now and they have been on Back Order which just seems to keep getting extended.

How are others getting around the inability to purchase these? Is the a reasonable alternative that is not several times the price of these?

OK I decided to order 12 from AliExpress I have bought from them before. Hopefully they will come soon.

have a look at thingiverse. there are a few models from blue bird whith almost the same specs. you will need adjusted servo holders. there is also the tgy 959 which is powerful enough and much smaller. You can find my results on youtube and in the inmoov community section.

Well the 12 I ordered from from AliExpress arrived today. Only 7 days that is awesome from Hong Kong!

And at the same time I got a email saying the 9 TS-80 2BB Giant Scale Servo U I ordered from Tower Hobbies a while back and were back ordered I got an email saying they are being packed for shipment. So it looks like I have gone from a servo drought to a servo flood! :)

Bill, did you received your TS 80 servos yet? I called Tower Hobbies yesterday to check on my back order of those servos and was told they still don't have them in stock.

for my part the TS80 are on the way. Got the tracking number and it should be home tomorrow. I have place that back-order a long time ago, probably March or something. The probably did not get enough to fullfill all the back order they had

I am on the TS-80 list too... sounds like I will be lucky to get my TS-80s before the fall.....

Yes the arrived a few days ago. I also noticed when I first got notified they were about to be shipped that they were still listed as back ordered. My only guess is they did not receive enough to fill the entire back order
