Thanks for update, 
now I see that I done the job completely opposite :)
If you decide to keep top and bottom outside shell together - why not printing them as a one piece ? Costs ?
I have a problem with alignment on the top head over eyes - parts are not aligned well

Having the option to still open these two parts in case you cannot separate the skin and the inner molds is the main reason. 
The second reason is that it uses less support and prints cleaner the face surface. Otherwise you would have support all over the face surface.
The line between the two outer molds needs to be filled with car filler and sanded. See the updated tutorial.
