Hi Steve,
If you search this forum you will see I had the same question. I spent a lot of money buying the correct spring looking for them individually. Out about $30USD and never ended up getting it right. I was over thinking the problem. Finally found a simple spring assortment on Amazon that had the correct size inside. It was only $8USD. UGH! This is in the US but I think this will get you started.

I finally ended up ditching the springs entirely. Never could get them to work. Finally redesigned the arm so I didn't need them.

Hope this helps

Thanks Perry, I'll try one of those sets, I did look at them but they didn't appear to have such a small size. I wonder where Gail got his from

I recall him saying a local hardware store but I could be wrong. My local did not have anything this small

Hello,
I got them from eBay.
As Perry says, the size isn't that important. They are really meant to be used only to keep the tension on the tendon.
You can even replace them with elastics.

Try this spring package, it is where I got mine. Harbor Freight is in the US but I am sure you can order online and have it delivered.

I made mine from springs a bit longer than twice what the BOM says. I cut and rebent to fit.
