Hello,
I'm starting to build Inmoov :)
Is it possible to download files to Autodesk Inventor?

Hi
That can be quite tricky but not impossible.
The main issue is that STL files are meshes and inventor works with solids.
You can import STLs but you can't edit them. For that you need to convert them to solids.
If you have an autidesk subscription you can download " mesh enabler " which will convert meshes to a base feature.
Other than that you can try to stitch and repair them which may work. It's often a question of how good "watertight" the meshes are.
Good luck

Hi,

I found a page where you can export STL -> DXF. Then, DXF3D files can be imported into Autodesk Inventor as solid. It should be stapled s surface.
I needed this option to print a specific part of the finger, without having to print all.

Greetings,

If I understood correctly, you want to be able to print specific pieces of a finger without actually modifying it, right?
I don't know which slicer software you use, but Slic3r has an option to split the shells from an STL. You just load the STL, right click on the objetct and select "Split". After that, just delete the pieces you don't want to print (be careful not to mistake them, as they are very look-alike) and then click on "Export STL" to create a new STL with only the pieces you want.

I hope I've helped.
